I'm re-starting an old module I started years ago. One main section has an assult on a "Bodiam-Castle" style castle.
I'm not good enough yet (only a couple days ago I found this site) to vreate something like that. I've been trying, but I currently lack the skills.
You can easily google "Bodiam-Castle" for thousands of pictures and information.
I was also wondering how to download some of the user pictures that I see here? I thought I had read the FAQ's, but still not sure I understand how to change the BMP files into PNG's other then "save-as" then use like photoshop to convert to PNG. Is that how to do it?
Thanks in advance for anyone interested in taking on this challange 8-)

Use any browser other than Internet Explorer, and the downloaded art
should retain its PNG format and transparency.

A good site with lots of pictures of Bodiam Castle can be found here.
A castle is always a nice challenge. I think there might be several people out there willing to take a stab at it. If not, contact Bludragn. He's done quite a few castles already.
Personally I use FireFox as browser and I believe most people on here use that (on Win PCs of course).

Isn't this the castle in England surrounded by a huge moat? I think I've been there. I wish I still had the photos. <sigh>

Not sure if the site is ok with this or not, but I'm willing to offer a prize for a contest to build this so that I can use it in my module ... Not sure what I can offer, but I'm very active and if the winner ever ends up in my neck of the woods (S California) I could take them on some type of adventure ... Skydiving, Drifting, Hand-gliding, Flying, etc?
Or I could offer something else as a prize if someone could come up with something? I also have a TON of old D&D stuff that is hard to fnid ...haha.
Thanks again so much for all the help 8-)

Hey gstg, here is a basic layout of the 1st floor of the sketch I found for a Bodiam style castle.
This is just a starting point. Do you want the castle to be abandoned, or Lived-in? Do you want no furnishings, Just the basic furnishings, or all the furnishings?
Do you need anything special in any of the rooms?
Do you want it surounded by water, with or without bridge?
The plans are for 3 floors. Do you want all 3 done up?
I can finish the 1st floor this weekend but it may be a while to do all the floors.

Wow!! ... great job. Thanks. I was thinking mostly of bottom with simple straight bridge (as opposed to the real "L" shaped. THe module calls for an castle assault. So I'm mostly looking for land / bridge / moat for the assault.
What you've already done awsome. Just off center will be a well and bucket. I can find that stuff. The biggest challange was the outline and main settings, which you created 8-)
