Where to begin, where to begin...

Modern/contemporary style beds!
Refridgerator
Microwave
Toaster
Lamps (Standing and table)

That's all I have right now. I'm sure I'll think of some more later.

Vehicles, plain ordinary cars, trucks, SUVs, commuter buses, taxis, a limo .

The streets pack just does not have enough variety and overhead images of vehicles are horridly difficult to find or I'd just mod some public images.

To go along with this month's contest, how about speed boats, gangster-gun runner cigarette boats, police-coast guard rescue boats.

On land, construction equipment like a backhoe, bobcat mini buldozers, anything we used to play with that had TONKA on the side only bigger.

Hey SOP

Seriously, search pistol, rifle, weapon, gun, and firearm. I did and have enough without copying to take over a mid size third world country

SOP -- Check out Steel Rat's site, RPGmapshare.com, especially the object gallery. There's a fifty piece modular computer console, several dozen sets of modern furniture, and enough firearms to create a small army. Also, look through the past 2 years of modern items on the site here, there's plenty more firearms and furniture laying around here.

I am working on a map of the Evesdown Docks from the Firefly/Serenity series and I'm in need of some shipping container graphics. I searched and found some printables, but I would very much like graphics that can be used in my map, if someone is up to the challenge. Thank you kindly!

There are some large shipping container-like objects at Steel Rat's site, RPGMapShare.com which appears to be down (been getting errors when trying to access it for the last few days).

While doing monthly cleanup of my DJ dir, I have to ask--why the hell don't we have any bicycles? Anyone willing to rectify this or do I have to whip out my camera?

I'd like to second that request. I'm looking for a sci-fi locker, but could
probably make do with a school or gym style locker bay.

I also need one of those spinning red emergency lights that are usually
mounted on a wall near the ceiling.

How about escalators (mechanical stairs)? Those would be handy for
shopping mall maps, maps of large office buildings, and museums.

I can't seem to find anything like that posted here.

Another related item would be a horizontal conveyor belt, like the ones they
have in airports for people to get around faster between terminals.

More WWII stuff . . .[please]
I need AA guns both allied and german 88mm.

and for structures, I think I have a challenge. Two items . . .
1) Glass ceiling for a greenhouse
2) camo netting as a tile to put over AA guns, fox holes, etc.

Thanks!

Supercaptain just posted a glass ceiling recently.

Camo netting can be found at rpgmapshare.com.

AA guns and howitzers would be neat additions. They'd make for a good
mission objective for a WW2 raid adventure.

Thanks, heruca! I checked rpgmapshare and found camo netting straight away. Now I just need to try it out.

As for the glass ceiling, I can't find anything. I've tried glass, ceiling, glassing ceiling, etc. Admittedly I'm not the best at searching on DJ, but that engine drives me nutz!!!

If you have better luck, please post a shortcut if you find it. Many thanks.

Some thing I can't find here or on DAZ is a hot dog vender cart.

A turn stile would be nice too.

I obviously gotta learn to render.

Like this one? The angle would be tricky because of the umbrella. But I can
work on it.

Might be worth making the part of the umbrella that covers the cart semi-
transparent. Either that or tilt the umbrella slightly.

This would be a good item to have for amusement parks, zoos, etc.

And I like the idea of a turnstile.

The turnstile will be easy. That's just a couple of blocks, a few cylindars and
some greebles. I'm working on the umbrella at the moment. I sould have
something in a couple of hours.

Okay, here's what i've got so far. I'm not sure how much detaail you want,
some of it might not be seen (like under the umbrella). Most of them have
an assortment of soda cans and bottles stacked on top, as well as signs and
such. Let me know what you want. We should also move this to its own
topic. Maybe a Ballpark/Street Vendor thread?

OK, I hate to seem greedy, what with being new and all...

I'm looking for a submersible, like Alvin. Preferably a 2 to 5 man, suitable for underwater work, not a "tourist" or military sub.

Any takers? I need it to finish a converted drilling platform, I'm even willing to share the map when it's done...

If you look around here you'll find several members who have things up.
Most of it is available here as well, and this has a search engine. I have some
things at www.groovydave.com

Okay. The garbage truck that I saw out there costs $135, and so far I haven't
found a free version. I'll keep looking. If I can find something I like for the
front end I may be able to model the rest of it myself.

Haven't found a free sub yet, either, but I'll get that Alvin pic and maybe take
a stab at modelling it.

BTW, for Wesley Bear, what i have on my site are some spaceships and
zombies. Most of my DJ work is here.

GD,

Those are some nice spaceships on your site. Would you mind if I make
them into PNGs with transparency and dropshadows and post them here?

If that's OK with you, do you have larger renders already made that I could
work from? Some of your renders are a little on the small side for certain
applications.

Those should already be .pngs. I did them for DJ. I didn't add dropshadows
because at the time I envisioned them being used on space maps. There are
renders out there of some of those (mostly the Star Wars and Star Trek
ships), but those were actually taken from photos. I didn't stick to a scale
because, again, at the time, there was no widely agreed upon scale for space
maps (still isn't, as far as I know). In any event, I'll look at what I still have
from that time and see if I have either the original photos or the cleaned up
image before I made them .pngs.

It says they are PNGs, but when you click on a thumbnail, a JPG with a white
background pops up in a new window.

Hmmm. Try saving the source file (however your browser does that). If you
want, I can zip them up and send them to you. As far as posting them here, I
would check with the admin concerning the legality of posting the SW & ST
stuff. There might be some concern.

I can't save the source file with a right click (it's a javascript link, not a real
URL), so a zip would be appreciated. heruca (at) mac (dot) com

Thanks.

I'll check re copyright, but I think there's already plenty of SW and ST stuff
posted here.

Yeah, I went back and checked the files on my idisk, and it says they
are .pngs. But when it displays them it does something else. I don't get it. I'll
send a zip.

OK I need your help again. I need a lifeguard tower for a beach scene I'm trying to do. I tried search, but got nothing. I don't even remember seeing one on anyone's site, so maybe it doesn't exist.. yet.

Thanks in advance

that shouldn't be tough to model, although I'm not done with Alvin yet. I'll
try to whip that out tomorrow.

I'm sure someone has asked this question before, but what program do you use to do the illustrations?

Perhaps you could mod this watch tower into a lifeguard tower by slapping on a new roof?

I use Bryce, DAZ and Poser for rendering, and Photshop for the final DJ
images. Mostly.

Is this the kind of tower you're thinking of? There are many styles.

Sorry, been gone for a couple of days.

Groovy Dave- that is perfect. I need it for background-eye candy for a pier map I'm working on.

Heruca- I still need alot of practice + photoshop or a like program to modify that tower. Thanks for the link and I might practice on it later.

Thanks all

You might wanna try just slapping one of Hylas' small roof pieces on top of
that tower, right in DJ.

OK. Looks like the details I'll be most concerned with from above will be the
roof, platform and stairs. Maybe the flag. You won't see the underside. I'll
work on that tomorrow.

There are some websites that specialize in 3D models of spaceships (and other sci-fi gadgets).
Sometimes you get lucky and they post top-down views of exactly what you were looking for. If not, you could always ask for one.

Here's one such site:

I'll see what I can find. I also do have a stargate model, but I think that may have already been posted. Another good resource for this kind of thing is Starship Modeller magazine's site. Even those they specialize in physical models, they often have all around photosets of reader submissions.

Well, I guess that would be a big black UPS truck with police lights on top,
and maybe S.W.A.T. painted on the top. Is that what you're thinking?

I'm still looking for western stuff for a town I'm putting together as well as the surroundings.

Currently I'm working on the building interiors and have picked up a great book to help that process. I'll have some specifics within the next day or two. I'm betting that most of them already exist though probably some fairly usable stuff in the fantasy threads I would imagine.

Right now I know I'll need cattle, various types of patterns and poses for them would be awesome.

I also need some desktop stuff such as a telegraph machine, old typewriter, glass of whatever, bottles of whatever, tents, wooden shingle fill, barrel, lumber, pipes, general store type stuff.

And once again Heruca comes through! Thank you. I'll use all of them except the tents.

I need "cowboy"/"cowtown" tents. The kind you would see in the beginnings of a western town while the wood structures are being built. I suppose they would be Civil War tents or similar.

Black Hawk Down

I'm looking for a render of a Black Hawk Helicopter that landed on its side. Perhaps not "on" it's side, but more of a 3/4 view. I want it looking in tact, so that the remaining crew can be rescued. Rescue in a hostile environment is the senario. I may actually get to use this at GENCON Indy.

If anyone can pull it off, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,

You might also want to put in a request to Steel Rat over at

might just have a Blackhawk model.

It's request time. I am in desperate need of a modern style bank. I actually have a map for one from 12 to Midnight, but it is boring and 2 dimensional. I need to spiff it up for an encounter that I want to run with my kids this weekend. I'm introducing them to a new system and I'll be using MapTool per a request from my son so I need something nice looking.

That said, I don't really need the whole bank, but I need to quickly collect together some textures and objects that might be in or around a bank. I need shrubbery, plants, tile floor, counter, a glass tube (the kind you use in the drive through) and asphalt as a minimum. I've already done a search for bank and got a bunch of river banks and one D&D bank. I'll begin searching for those other items I mentioned, but if folks have some links to these types of items, or others that come to mind, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

First off I just wanted to say to all the posters on this site, thank you for all the services you provide. I've been a long-time lurker. One of these days, I need to get the maps I've cobbled together on print!

I'm looking for two items,

* An upright poll with some slight angle to it. I've cobbled together a real divey strip club map for Heroclix and I need a dance pole for on stage.

* I want to make an old mystical WWII Nazi library full of arcane stuff and militaria. The type of setting you'd see in an Indiana Jones movie or a Hellboy comic and I'm looking for that atypical 10 or 15 ft Nazi flag that you'd hang on the wall.

Thanks for reading my post!

CuriousLurker: For the cat pole, do you want chrome or gold? I've already made something similar for a firehouse pole. It doesn't look like much, mind you; mostly just a gold or silver dot with some shading.

Coloring is optional! The more it doesn't match my map, the more seedy the strip club looks!

And thanks again for the flags!

Art Request (Please and Thank you!):

I'm looking for emergency/rescue vehicles of any type, and I need ones for 1930-ish (pulp game), modern, and slightly futuristic (Shadowrun).

I do have one so-so modern ambulance, and several police cars, but I'd like some firetrucks, other more specialized rescue vehicles (bush trucks, airport crash trucks, etc.) and helicopter or hover types.

Alternately, if anyone can point me to a good site that has top down images of this type of vehicle, I'm not above trying to do it myself (it's just that y'all are better at it )

Maybe you could start with this Ghostbusters vehicle and Photoshop it to turn it back into an ordinary
ambulance?

Be sure to also check out the modern vehicles collection at rpgmapshare.com.

Switch from Internet Explorer to Firefox and everything downloads properly. I was reluctant to switch at first but it was easy and it works. Just google Firefox Download.

Ronin-You have hit upon one of the perennial difficult items to find. There
are a host of emergency vehicles out there, not so many old ones, but Fire
Trucks are almost always costly. I started on a Fire Truck of my own a while
back but have not completed it. It was going good, too. If you can find
someone willing to buy a Fire Truck model they are out there, but that;s the
trick.
Photoshopping Ecto One would work fine. I can do it if no-one else wants to.

GroovyDave - That's awesome!

I'm using this (and whatever else turns up) for a 30s pulp based RPG, with Nazi mad scientists, zombies, fedora-wearing adventurers, Colt .45 wielding heroes, you get the idea...

Anyway, they don't have to be perfectly "in period" they just have to capture the feel, which your modified Ecto 1 does quite well.

Thank you again, and if I find any firetrucks, I'll certainly share!

red cross to. NOTE: Ecto 1 is actually a hearse, which your players might not
notice from above, but hey, there it is. Also added a shadow.

Hello,

I am building a military base and I am looking for a a few good armory type graphics, such as gun racks, Rockets etc. Could anyone please share where I could find items like these. Thanks.

Request: Top-down taxi, Yellow Cab style, or perhaps with yellow & black
checkered doors. Anyone got a good 3D model?

I may have one heruca. Let me look through my content and see. I have a number of vehicles, but I can't remember which ones.

I can't get the link function to work, but try a search for "vehicles". There is a
thread entitled "modern vehicles" with three pages. On page 2 there is a
post
with a European police car and a yellow cab almost all the way at the
bottom. The cab doesn't have insignia but that can be added in Photoshop.
That said, I know I did one of these back in the day, but don't seem to be
able to find it. I'm sure I have the model somewhere though.

Thanks, GD. Found it.

That will do nicely. But something a bit more modern-looking would be nice to have, too, if someone gets a chance to do one.

Aahhh, you mean the squarish type Taxis. Kind of look like a Chrysler
Reliant K. These type do still operate, and are still made, but you're right,
they do have an oldish feel to them. I think there was an cab like you're
talking about, from the same place I got the older looking one. I'll have to
dig into my files and see if I saved it.

Could anyone do some "Slasher" types such as Jason, Halloween, or chainsaw dude? (Maybe all three...)

Look near the bottom of this page for something that might work:

But please close your eyes and keep them tightly shut until after you've paged down a bit. You've been warned.

I had to look up what the Space Jockey was:
http://www.8thpassenger.com/coppermine/displayimage/album=12 39/pid=674.html

Any idea what size it should be? I can't make it myself, but if someone can, they'll need that info.

It is rather large. Compare this model:

and this movie clip:

You can see the characters in the film on the left, they are tiny by comparison to the jockey.

and another model shot:

-Planets
, green ones, blue one, white-cloudy ones, gray asteroid-puckered ones, bloated-gassy weird-colored ones, chunky asteroids, barren rocky chalky-to-red brown ones with white albedo caps.

-Stars
white-blue-yellow-orange-red (& brown dwarves)
from the small to titanic (maybe a size tweak option)

-Tech features
(stargates, space ports, satellites)

-Thematic features
(orbit lines, gravity areas, trade route lines, special effect areas like for "magnetic storms" or "space warp hole" etc)

... too much from a newbie??

Starfields would need to be done as floor tiles fills, I suppose.
Your orbit lines, trade routes and such could be drawn directly in DJ. As
actual objects they might be kind of big, unless the scale of space map
you're talking about is more general.
OK. I've been trying to link to the results of the Search for Planet, but it
won't work, so you'll have to do it yourself, but there are a lot of planets
there.

I know images of planets abound. But most are photos of actual ones, some CGI, some cartoonish, many are imbedded with other images & background so you have to extract them to use them etc

I just wanted a nice DJ-made , fantasy, stylishly cohesive images that fit together and with the rest of DJ.

Umm, are you searching for planets on this forum, or are you searching
with Google or the like? Because most every planet image posted here is "DJ
style", and has no background.

Thanks, Kepli, sorry. It's been a while. I know it really doesn't need to be
here, either, but I wanted to make sure he saw it. You can move the message
to one of the other threads if you want.
The problem with this topic is SCALE. Even a solar system map is going to be
so large as to be impractical, and the objects on it will be representative
rather than relative. And and a star map? Forget about it. Now, if we're
talking something like the old Traveller star maps, then I guess we can talk,
but detailed planets would be impossible to see on that scale. Little dots
would be as good as anything.

I need a top-down render of a modern or slightly futuristic motorcycle with a sidecar. A motorcycle without a sidecar would be useful, too.

And if Steel Rat is reading this, do you think you could do a render of your biker guy posed as if he were riding a motorcycle?

Finding a free model for a motorbike wasn't easy. The only one with a sidecar I found was a *.max model and it was $120. Hopefully this will work for you.

Hi,

I can't find these items when searching here or rpgmapshare.

First is a Steve McQueen type helmet, either way up.
Steel Helmet

I've used the little Dunjinni brown boots on all maps. For more modern maps wonder if these Second World War hobnailed types are anywhere (glossy for guard duty, matt for combat!):

Would anyone be willing to make some Judge Dredd style

Pointers to appropriate Dreddverse stuff that's already

Hello there

I'm creating a small strategy game involving terrain tiles and tanks, and I'm looking for a specific piece of scenery that I haven't been able to create by myself. I would need a topdown sci-fi tower, much like Tom Clancy's Endwar uplink towers (you know, those big objective markers).

It's supposed to be a high, massive, geometric piece of concrete, some cross between a skyscraper and a bunker. Antennas or satellite dishes could be an option. Doors are not needed, since the whole thing is supposed to be some kind of automated device, a relay for a vaster network.

Could you guys give me a hand ? Thanks in advance !!

Hi,
If anyone has the time / inclination:

To deal with pesky Aliens varmints a tactical nuclear recoilless rifle would be nice, such as this 1960's one: Davy Crockett photo [With the Bomb removed it would also be a basic Vietnam period (or indeed contemporary) recoilless weapon. M113 carriers already on SteelRats site.] Video of M65 On YouTube

...And since I'm here perhaps an LRAD would be vital in todays checkpoint maps and even patrol boats...LRAD acoustic device.

...A mortar, sand or green (suitable for a DJ sized firebase map - RpgMapshare has howitzers and huge SP guns, a bit big for a small base).
<<< update - scratch this - did one myself here. >>>

Thanks!

I don't suppose anyone has ever made any Daleks?

I've never been able to find any on here but I could really use some top views of various color Daleks (especially red ones).

Yes, it's a sci fi map but not Dr. Who. I just really want to use Daleks for my security robots! :-)

More Daleks can be found here. But you have to be registered on the site to have access to the file attachments.

Thank you, heruca, for that link. I found *exactly* the red Dalek I was hoping for (and I didn't even have to mod it!). It will make the perfect Security Droid for my re-imagining of Expedition to the Barrier Peaks (and a great inside joke for anyone into Who). Thanks again to all of you for your help.

Notice that this thread hasn't been used in a while, so I shall attempt to do so in my quest to create the perfect playground.

Long story short, some fellow PbP'sters and I are about to start using the Risus rules in order to play our own version of the ever popular card game "Lunch Money" and I am in need of tracking down any and all objects/textures/covers that would be pertinent to creating Playground maps as well as possibly even Lunchroom, Naptime Recess, etc.

Any help would be graciously appreciated!

Thanks...

Snagged those and thanks to both Bogie and Dragonwolf!

Sadly, I am looking for something a little more in the way of an old-school (metal jungle-gym bars, massive swing set, spinning carousel)looking elementary school style. Something to let players remember their childhood injuries from.

All of this safety-hazard primary colored plastic stuff now-a-days comes off as too comfortable and safety-conscious for my liking...

Hi Krhen,

Try shell craters,   rubble,     more rubble, and broken ground. Rotating and re-size for variety.

There are dead trees, branches and broken furniture in the art packs you get with Dundjinni, or search under "ruins" or "broken" and such words.

Enjoy!

Noobie here.

I hope this is OK to ask- While I wait for Dundjinni store to become active, I can still do some map and game work in Photoshop. I'm working on some modern zombie stuff and cant seem to find a top down view of a male and female doctor or nurse in a lab coat. Can anyone help me out?

Oh, and since I cant seem to buy Dundjinni, I have instead just discovered a program called Shuffler, which is pretty kool too. I just made up this lab from out of its pre-fab tiles.

Welcome to the forums timallen.

I couldn't find any doctors or nurses either but I did find this post with a lot of MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

And this one with a couple DOCTORS BAGS

And there are a couple cadavers at rpgMapshare:

Hi and Welcome TimAllen,

Thanks for the excuse to do more DAZ figures. Hope these may be of use. Lab coat, though a bit short!

This is just the basic one - it may be possible to remove the blood in the texture (?) or make her a less glamerous shape (=fat) if that is needed. All thanks to Ravenous. Once on DAZ (and these clothes fit properly), it's just a case of pose / render pose / render.

There's an old "Carry On Nurse" (blue and white) style one on Renderosity also that I can't do as I don't have Victoria3 (the one here is V4). Search Renderosity Free Stuff "nurse".

Resized the last one by width not height... doh!... but here she is anyway.

Any use?

P.S. DJ shop downtime sadly must be keeping back quite a few new folks. Should mention that is a good map. Really like the cables underfloor!

Thanks! Hopefully with a bit of photoshopping, these should work just fine.

I dont suppose you might have that first nurse (standing and not looking up) without the hat?

Voila!

It's surprising how few DAZ poses are around of someone just standing there... Hope one may be of use.

Anyway, if you've seen Kathy Bates in "Misery" we have:

Su Cuy'gar,

(Excuse my Mando'a....I'm still learning.)
I am certain this will become, or already is, a difficult request but I have been looking for pic/pngs/tokens of Bubblegum Crisis-style Hardsuits and Motoslaves.
I have only recently (in the last 24 hours) began to expirament with Daz3d and Paint.net and I have as little experience with the software as anyone could possibly have. Add to this my lack of non-freeware content and my ability to "create" becomes severely hampered in most (if not all) respects.
Any assistance of decent content, a website addy favorable to fulfilling my request or flat out "Here it is , dude." would be appreciated beyond words.
My thanks in advance to any responce that may be forthcoming.
Best regards to one and all.

There are mechs and robots here and in RpgMapshare, but I can't think of specific Bubblegum Crisis style mecha, with the "bunny" radio ears. [Look in the Girls with Guns thread for the "plug-suit", what they wear when inside the Mech.]

Also goto Renderosity. Register (free) and search Free Stuff for robot. You'll find Shukky's and other things to play with in DAZ.

Here's Shukky in Japan, one of which seems to be a helmet with bunny style ears. Find them also in Renderosity in English! ...Shukky freebies here...

If you do try these, you have to match the file structure inside Runtime exactly in your DAZ folders. Sometimes opening a freebie in DAZ shows a file is missing - "skip" or locate it and it'll load, unless the .obj which you need to locate (so remember where you put it). Once opened the first time successfully, save as a DAZ scene.

Sample of the Shukky Bco:

Howdy,

Thank you for the link but I was not able to download much from that page. Almost everything there tried to download directly to my temp files and immediately self-extract....an action I do not like at all.
The token you provided above was appreciated and (come to think of it) is one of the only files that I could successfully download that didn't try and goto a location or perform an action on my computer that I did not want it to.
I am also a Renderosity member but have never seen anything there that resembles a Knight Sabres hardsuit.
Once more I am in your debt....even if only for Shukky.
Best Regards from Neo-Tokyo.

Peace & Understanding (doesn't require chopsticks but a little salt couldn't hurt)

Strange, I downloaded that one and the robot on the other thread last night.
... Click on picture on that site,
... it offers open / save / cancel,
... choose "SAVE" (not open) and it downloads happily as a ZIP.
... Once the ZIP's over into downloads or wherever, right click on it and Extract.
I'm using Windows 7 (same process for my previous XP).

It may be that you're choosing Open as a choice which (I think) opens it in Temp to look at but not putting onto your drive), but you'd then need to save it anyway.

[There are one or two odd ones on Renderosity with folks using .rar or odd compression programs which I ignore - sticking to ZIP that I know.]

.rar is used often as well as a compression type. It has a few more options. Just look at the WinRar program that can handle zip and rar archives (as well as some others).
Personally I use Stuffit (can be used on PC and Mac with many compression types).

G'day,

That was exactly what I did the first time and even a second and third time but the same result still occurs.
It will not let me designate the dl folder, I can not locate the temp folder it went to and it attempts to self-extract and at no time today have I ever opened a file instead of saving it.
The only one that seemed to come down properly was the Zip for the figure you had in your post....none of the others (that I was interested in, about 5 of them) did anything except attempt to self-extract even though I saved them and the destination folder was obsured by the "are you sure you really wanna do that?" pop-up Windows 7 so generously chooses to mock you with when something tries to auto-install without permission.
Since it worked for you I am at a loss as to what actually happened but I have a very strict "No-Freakin'-Way" policy towards anything that self-extracts without prompting or permission. Too bad 'cause they looked sweet. Well, at least I was able to snag one of them.
Best Regards from the Geek Squad.

Peace & Understanding (is a frame of mind we should all be fortunate enough to experience)

I throw myself on your mercies again. I searched and did not find an outdoor chess/checkers board for a modern park. Some pics below to show what I'm asking for. Please if anyone could fabricate one with stone cement benches I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Will this work?

I tried to size it to DJ size, but I created it at 300 DPI
and a much larger scale, so I can make it bigger it you
want.

Mercutio my thanks for a quick and excelent job. Exactaly what I was envisioning. I will try it out and let you know if I need it resized, but it looks perfect as is.

Ok I tried it out and could you please make a 1 1/2 size and a 2x. I set it up on a map and laid a human body next to it and the body looked giant to the board. I'm using a hex grid on the map because it is for Champions from Hero Games. The image itself is fine, but it looks small if I put a sitting human on the bench.

You can always enlarge it in DJ, too. That particular PNG probably won't
pixellate too noticeably.

Howdy guys, I'm running a modern campaign in which the PC's must visit a riverboat casino. I'm wondering if any of y'all have seen a top-down drawing of an old paddle wheel steamer, like this one:

2957'18.48" N 9003'42.94" W

or check out here and then go to google earth or bing or other satellite map program.

Good luck.

I found a few models in Google Sketchup. I'm not good at
rendering 3D images, but I'll take a crack at it tonight
and try to upload a halfway decent picture if I can.

EDIT - Hopefully this will work. Sorry it's not better. The model is
this guy's work

All I did was render, add shadows, and fix up some of the textures with some better ones from CGTextures.

Hi CuriousLurker,
Do you mean a standard horse but textured metal, or a...

Also just posted a DAZ robo beast on the below...

As no one will use the one above (odd that real things don't look science fictionny enough, or maybe it just
looks awful), decided to add this for future mechanised cavalry:

All Terrain Vehicle (ATV).
Picture is a hack up of a plastic toy. Maybe someone can mod the colours(?)

@Curious Lurker: maybe someone can do you a proper Robot Horse...!

It's not that the Mule doesn't look science fictiony
enough, but that video gives me the creeps. It looks too
much like two guys facing each other carrying something
like a sofa.

That Daz Robo Quadruped would probably work in a pinch.

Was looking for something closer to this though.

Sorry for the delayed response. I wayward kidney stone hospitalized me for a few days and I'm just remembering what I was working on prior to the event.

Hello all. it's been a long time since I've been around. I've started into a new campaign where it's modern day zombie apocalypse(walking dead campaign). I am looking to generate maps for this. Does anyone know if anything has been made that could fit this bill? things like:

overturned store fixtures,
overturned and/or crashed cars
dumpsters
garbage
manhole covers
roadways
top-down view of a Winnebago
modern tents
etc. etc.

I have some things from my D&D days of mapping that will be useful, like blood trails, tables, etc. but I need more modern stuff.

Hey Lingster, Welcome back.

There is a lot of stuff in the modern section. The search function is the best way to look for stuff. Also check out Probono's modern map tiles, he made some great instant maps. They are in the Tiles Forum.

PROBONO'S MAD MAX TILE SET

PROBONO'S CONCRETE BUNKER

PROBONO'S MANSION TILES

Try this search for cars.

Howdy guys, thanks for your help previously. I'm still running my superhero campaign, but I'm going to do a pulp style one-shot. I was wondering if there were any 30's or 40's style maps around? I'd really love to find an old-fashioned night club or the like. Thanks!

I also need a "guardrail". you know the ones... the ones found alongside the road to keep your car on the road. Not just the concrete barrier, but the metal one as well.

I've done a search, but can't find them...

Hi Lingster,

Armco style Crash Barriers... Any use?
Google Armco crash barrier...
...or Here...
Centre section (600x100pix):

Ends...

Perhaps the "ends" could also be at the sides of a crashed through section...

Or do they just go down into the Tottes ground?

Or getting carried away now...

Perfect!   And I even found the Concrete K Rails for the center of the highway... (posted a few years back)

Only thing is I'll make it into a different color... (aka, grey)

Also, any chance of some Orange Barrels? IE: Construction Barrels or cones?

So, there's been some post apoc zombie related requests here, so I guess I'm going to add to the post apoc request madness!

What I need to find:

Large two-headed guard dog (regular size is fine I can expand it up)

Two-headed mutant humans, male and female(Ettins look too crude and "monstrous"), with various post-apoc style weapons a la Mad Max (no plasma guns or the crazy high-tech Fallout stuff- in this world, there are firearms, but they are hard to come by so most people use crossbows, spears, swords and axes made out of junk metal, etc)

Two-headed cows and horses

Two headed platypus (yes, really)

Part-flesh part-metal Terminator-looking guys (damaged, so some of the broken skin shows the endoskeleton underneath)

Pretty much anybody dressed in a Mad Max style and armed that way. In particular, some people with Mohawks would be good- turns out there aren't very many figures out there like that!

Thank you in advance! I can only imagine what these things might turn out like!!!

Introducing The

Confused Two-Headed Platypus.

..."The texture of the fur is very soft and therefore was desired by many for fur coats as well as bags, etc.
However, due to the size of the platypus, it takes many pelts to create something such as a coat (which
requires approximately 70 pelts)"... Pelts of our large mutated two headed Platipi are worth much more
than a normal one.

triad4evr wrote:
Two-headed horse...

Well... you could have been more specific...

But you get a bonus zebra...

EDIT: Probono tries again...

...before running out of energy. Someone else will need to try the others. At least PB didn't do a horse pelt.
Main thing used was the Smudge Tool (set to a hard brush) in Paint.Net to get the hair effect. Only used
it once before for Nico the Stunt Cats' pelt, so took a few minutes to remember the options.

Ok, here's an art request. I tried, but failed at it for some reason.

I need a chain link fence.... with barbed wire at the top. something that would be used for a prison fence....

A clean, perfect version, a gate section, and then perhaps a busted piece.

Any takers?

I saw those. they're not quite perfect. where's the connecting piece?

the fences don't match up very well. (they're done in such a way that the ends are not in the same direction, so they don't combine at all, even with each other.

Those are the only ones I know of at all across all of the
DJ associated sites. Maybe someone with one of the 3D
rendering programs can help. Otherwise, I think that's the
best you're going to find for free. There are some
proprietary fences in the DJ Modern art-pack.

Hi Lingster,

Just some thoughts on wire fences.

As the barbed wire is higher up you could also make it bigger to make it stand out more(?)

...another idea...

Metajocks concertina wire ...HERE...

Might try to create something like this (but not sure when)...
Rapid Deployment barriers...
...to both stop Zoms or as temporary jails for conspiracy theorists.

Hey Forum,

Any ideas for some heavy duty debris? Specifically some
vehicle and city debris. My next game session involves
the players interrogating a newly captured supervillain
on their sky carrier, and (no prizes for guessing) she is
going to pull a Loki on them. The map will be a city
block that the carrier has crashed into, the situation
will be a fight from the downed carrier, across the
streets, and into an abandoned/ruined building. I would
very much like some overlays/stamps/brushes that can help
with this. Perhaps something I can put over 'landed ship'
map using photoshop? Or even something that can be used
in Dundjinni itself. Anything would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello all. To any kind and aspiring souls, I'm seeking
items one would see in a 1950s style diner, like
diner booths, backed bar stools, jukebox, soda
fountain, straw holders, ect.

I have not seen hardly any of those items.
However there is a set of Booths, Tables Benches & Stools that I always thought looked like they were from a diner.

Here is a link to that thread here on Dundjinni. The download link in the first post is not working but if you go down to the 1oth post by Dragonwulf and download all 3 Zip files you can get the entire set.

BENCHES & TABLES by terrasim

And here is a Pinball machine and a Jukebox for you.

I am hoping that someone might be able to point me the
right direction to find some items.

I'm working on a military base map and have been
unable to find some items for the mess hall. The main
thing I'm looking for are serving counters, like you
see in cafeteria's--the ones with the bins for food
and have the tray area. I saw one on someone's map
once but they did not list where they found their
objects. I'm also looking for industrial kitchen
items in the stainless steel look---large
refrigerator, prep counters, flat-top grill, fryers,
etc. The counter is the main thing as I can piece
together a kitchen with things I have that are close.

I have the CSUAC items, been through the mapshare
website items, scoured this site, and the campaign
cartographer site and the cartographer's guild site,
so I'm hoping someone might know of some other places
I can look. Thanks for any help.

There might be some pieces you could use here.

I'm surprised you didn't find more at rpgmapshare. Makes me wonder if perhaps a lot of files went missing there.

looking for the serving counter. Something like this:

Great stuff, PB!

The top silver "counter" could double as one of those vertical
refrigerated units commonly found in convenience stores.

Hi Heruca, using your glass pane again (3 layers of it) we get...

My 7 second google didn't show any obviously public domain food tongs or food scoops to include... Such things would help complete Gylysmacewans' kitchen.

We still using this for sci-fi requests?

If so I'm looking for some sci-fi corpse tokens, mostly intact, but burned mutilated ones would be great too. Think Doom 2016 corpses if you need inspiration.

There are some good sci-fi people tokens over on RPG Map Share by Steel_Rat, but not many are lying or sitting, so it's hard to convert them into corpses. If anyone has the laying down versions of those, I'd love to see them posted as well!

I did indeed, but I was also looking for more non combat bodies too, mechanics, scientist, workers, civilians ect.

EDIT: With the top most ones, I'd love to have all but the last token with out the gore so I can add my own, but I can't seem to find them.

EDIT 2: I found four of them, but I'm still missing the top two in darker armor if anyone can link those.

Hey everyone, do we have anything for VTOL's, or could I request a 3D model of the top-view of the Orca from old-school Command & Conquer (the very first one)? I know we had the green VTOL, which I've already been using in my games.

Hello, I pieced this together from parts here, particularly Steel Rat and Digger:

I know it's based on the Aliens dropship, but with your mods it
reminds me of the assault ships in Avatar.

Hey again everyone, does anyone have an M1126 Stryker I could use in my game? I've got plenty of Hummers, Abrams, and Bradley's, but I'm still missing a Stryker.

(Also, thanks for the VTOL from before, Dave. Looks like I forgot to thank you before. Sorry about that.)

Here's a source image you could cut out. Not to DJ scale, though.

I did find that earlier actually, but I wanted to see if anyone else had something for this, or could otherwise do one. In the case of the latter, I can make it worth the time.

Looking for a pair of mechanical legs from a top down perspective, steampunky looking and without a body so I can slap it on stuff.

Anyone got anything like that? I saw the legs in the man in charge my Gun thread, but they aren't really what I am looking for, and there are some other mechs here and on mapshare, but the body obscures the legs almost entirely.
