Thought I'd cross-post this here, as it fixes several problems with the 1.0.6 patch. Some folks might not have seen the solution yet...
This file fixes issues raised by the patch: Talismyr_DJ_20060918.zip
If you have a default PC install of DJ on your C:\ drive, just unzip the package to C:\
If you have a non-default installation, unzip to a temporary folder and move all of the files to their appropriate locations.
Admins - for inclusion in the next patch, the files and their locations must be used as-is from this package to work correctly.
This package has been tested by GTech.
Enjoy!
Michael

The Talismyr stylesheet patch linked to by MDono has successfully Cleared QA
It is currently intended to be used on Windows systems.
We will still need to test and assemble a Zip for Mac systems.
Slash (Our resident Mac wizard), if you could assist with this, it would be very helpful.
Compatibility note regarding DJ (all versions):
This is a work-around for several DJ issues introduced by the newest version of Java (JRE v1.5.0_08).
To All users: Uninstall any and all other Java versions (including the JRE 1.4.2_02).
Go to the DJ support page: http://www.dundjinni.com/info/updates.htm
Download and install Java from the link titled Sun's Java Run-Time Environment (v.1.5.0.04) (15.53 MB EXE)
This version of Java has the greatest compatibility with DJ (Application and stylesheets).
This will be a necessary work-around until a DJ patch is released, and cleared through QA, addressing the numerous issues caused by the newest version of Java (JRE 1.5.0_08)
Sorry for the inconvenience. This will hopefully be remedied very soon.
Thank you for your patience,
GTech

The use of the d20 System logo on the title page concerned me, so I looked at the d20 system guide and licensing rules.
There is some very specific text that must appear on the title page of any covered product displaying the logo.
I will make a modification to the Talismyr style sheet in the next couple of days that will cover these requirements.
The appropriate text will be displayed on the title page only if the user selects the option to print the d20 logo on their adventure.
Will run the changes through GTech off-line before posting.

MDono,
That is an very good licensing point you make there.
Hmm ...
Would you please send me the "language" that you plan to include before you go through the trouble of including it?
I'll pass it through the higher-ups and get approval before we include it.
Just so we don't go through the trouble for nothing.
Thanks,
GTech

I am thinking about installing DJ 1.0.6 patch, but before I want to make sure I won't have any problems with the maps I have created. I have installed art packs and organized the folders containing arts downloaded from the forum myself. I'm afraid if I install the new 1.0.6 patch that it could alter my folders and mess up my maps…? Is there any advantages to upgrade to 1.0.6, speed, arts, any bugs…?

The first posts states:
Here’s what the patch does fix:
* Fixed a problem that occurs in some cases during installation that results in the dreaded "Improper Installation" prompt (see Improper Installation and the posts from Ghostmage, who tested the patch).
* Fixed alignment of text on Mac systems.
* Added "Talismyr" style sheet and set that as the default stylesheet. (Big thanks to MDono (Michael W. Donovan) who created this new sheet – and gtech (Greg Trolinger) who served as chief tester. You rock, guys!)
So there is nothing in v1.0.6 that could mess up your maps
