Bogie won the last Map contest and has chosen the following theme for the next contest ... have fun

WATERFRONT
Anything you want that would be at the waterfront,,,Docks, Warves, Piers, Harbor defenses, Ships, Boats, Lighthouses, the Harbor, Dock Street, Pirate Hideout, etc. If you want to do the interior of Warehouses or Grimy Sailor Taverns, the exterior surrounding view has to show that it is at a waterfront area, otherwise it could just be a warehouse or tavern anywhere.

And the winner is ... Westport by Totte!!!

======================================================

Entry 1: Westport by Totte

Entry 2: Barge Dock Scene by ProBono

Entry 3: Heroclix WWII by CuriousLurker

Entry 4: Modern Dock by Bengalelf

Hi Kepli,

Perhaps yourself or one of the other admin might please move over the Barge Dock Scene from MAPS into the CONTESTS forum. I'll rename it suitably once over.

Thanks!

Done ... and already updated the title a bit. You can change it again, but let me know, so I can change it in the first post here as well

Does the map have to include a coastal line? Or can it also be a lake, river or something?

A lake or river is fine, it should have some type of a waterfront look to it. I had envisioned a working waterfront or port area, but even fishing camps along the edge of a pond would be a waterfront.
The only thing I would say does not fit what I had in mind would be an area that just happened to have a stream running through it.

I hope to see an entry from you!   I still haven't decided what I'm planning to make!

It's about time we started voting, but there are only three maps in the current contest.
We can go ahead and vote, or wait a bit more ... I prefer to start voting and start a new contest in may.

Great work everyone! I had a very hard time picking between Westport and Barge Dock scene, they are both excellent. The others are very good to, I just prefer the ancient/fantasy setting.
I also wish to apologize for not getting a map done in time for the contest I picked
I procrastinated, and then got caught in a RL time crunch.
No one to blame but myself

Sorry - I can't vote as I can't see all the entries as the great firewall of China won't let me see the ones on blogs

Thank you folks!!!!

Am I supposed to think of theme for the next contest now? I agree with
aegean, the upload / posting problems needs to be solved first.

OK I have an idea for the next map:
I think of an urban theme, like a town square, a village , sinister dark alley
or something like that. Does that sound OK?
