Thank you...turnign off User Account Control did the trick. Sweet.
P.S. Sorry if I am a bit grumpy about the software issues , I geuss my hatred of Vista is finally spilling over into other areas.

Shutting off the UAC enabled 1.07 update to progress and install.
Upon completion however the fantasy folder still appeared blank (note that I have no art packs installed and I installed from 1.06)
I have just finished installing from a fresh download (1.07) and the program is running fine.
I did notice that the Directory structure has changed from Dundjinni/ to Dundjinni Enterprises/Dundjinni, this may be causing problems with the update version.

From C:\Program Files\Dundjinni? Don't you mean the original was C:\Program Files\Fluid ? That was the default installation path prior for Windows prior to this Dundjinni 1.0.7.

Just a quick comment on the update -
THANK YOU!!!
I've had the program for a while but could never use it but after installing this patch everything seems to be working great!
Can't wait to see v2.0!

O.K. I'm fine with re-installing, but when I try to get the art packs, I'm not sure where to put them. Just putting them into the C:Program files/dungeonjinni doesn't seem to be working. HELP

You need to reinstall the proprietary artpacks themselves (after reinstalling DJ) since they need to register with the program. Simply placing the artpack asset folders into DJ won't do the trick.
And, with a new, full reinstall, you'll need the latest versions of the artpacks - which should be available for download on the order details page (accessible via the order tracking link in the lower left hand column of the store page).

I've uninstalled and re-installed about 8 times now. I can get the platinum edition to work just fine, but then I try to install the art pack (which is a zip, then a rar) and then I'm unsure where to unzip the art zip file from the rar (that is which folder in the dungeonjinni enterprises). I'm about ready to stop using this great program that I've paid a good sum of money for with all the art packs.
Now I'm just beating my head against a wall (fortunatly they are padded).

Your artpacks do come as Zip files but what is inside of them is a Java ARchive. A JAR file. Not a RAR file. You are probably using WinRAR which stupidly tells Windows that it will handle them.
In a Windows environment that hasn't been screwed up by WinRAR, you can double click on the artpack JAR files and they will run as Java programs and install the artwork.
You need to configure WinRAR not to grab the JAR files.

Here is a link to an explanation on how to disassociate JAR files in WinRAR, WinZIP and WinACE
